Abstract

The main objective was to find out a way to fight against stomach and colon infections with the help of using probiotic bacteria and in this research work, it was shown that Bifidobacterium infantis prevented the growth of Helicobacter pylori by competitive inhibition and also antibiotic resistant Bifidobacterium infantis not only prevented the growth of Helicobacter pylori but also created a zone of inhibition (6-9 mm) against it. The whole research work was tested on agar plates mimicking the pH of the stomach so that upon further use, the significance of this project remains intact and the results are trustworthy. The cause of one of the most common diseases, Colitis, is unknown, although it causes severe stomach pains and damages the cells of the digestive tract. Ulcerative colitis affects the lining of the large intestine (colon) and the rectum alone. The severity of the forms varies. Patients with ulcerative colitis are at a higher risk of acquiring colon cancer. Rectal hemorrhage, bloody diarrhoea, abdominal pains, and pain are all symptoms. Medication and surgery are used to treat the condition. So the main target is to prevent the happening of this disease by the use of probiotics.
