Abstract

The article emphasizes the importance of potatoes, its role in ensuring food security and elements of irrigation technology - different lengths of furrows, water consumption in each furrows when cultivating the newly created variety Yarokli-2010 in the southern regions of Uzbekistan. Based on the care of potatoes in various elements of irrigation technology, the growth and development of the plant are observed on the 20th day of germination at a length of 60 m and a flow rate of 0.10-0.15 l/sec. Experiments show that the rate of water flow to the fields increases several times for the yield, quality and marketability of potatoes. The results of the research show that the level of water supply to the plants in the irrigation furrows was stable when the length of the potato variety Yarokli-2010 was 60 m and the flow rate of the potato water was 0.10 l/sec.  The yield was 37.5 tons per hectare, and marketability of potato was 97.8% (36.7 t/ha), did not observed specific diseased potato buds in the yield. The preservation of the potato was improved and rated from 5.6 to 6.1 points. The farmers, who specialize in potato growing, indented that the use of this technology on ensures high yield and quality of crops and is economically viable.
