Abstract
The research aims to study the protein and oil content in each of (seeds, plant parts, and callus) of the radish plant Raphanus sativus L. by tissue culture techniques with using the modified Lowry method to measure the protein content, where the highest protein content in the seeds was 0.18 mg/g, followed by stems Callus 0.15 mg/g, then leaves parts 0.13 mg/g. The oil percentage in seeds were measured by using the TLC technique of thin-layer chromatography, with dimensions of (length × width) (20 × 20) mm and thickness (0.025) mm, where the highest oil percentage in the leaves parts 7% and the lowest in the stems, reaching 3%. The seeds oil percentage was 1.3%, as for callus, the highest oil percentage was 1% and the lowest oil percentage in the roots was 0.5%.
