Abstract
The article outlines the results of the study conducted on protein markers of cotton seeds belonging to species G. hirsutum L. and G. barbadense L. It was found out that the cotton species studied in the research differ in water-soluble protein markers content, designated in accordance with their electrophoretic mobility by the symbols H-0,13 and B-0,18 and the buffer fracture, denoted by the symbols AB and BD. Moreover, the studied species of cotton differ in the composition of the buffer fraction of protein markers, the inheritance of protein markers H-0,13 and B-0,18 corresponds to monohybrid codominant cleavage. The experiment revealed that upland cotton species G. hirsutum L. - H-0.13 and in the fine-fiber species G. barbadense L. - B-0.18 belong to the markers.
