Abstract
This experiment was laid out in order to study the effect of two (Freesia X hybrid) cultivars and nano fertilizer (K and Fe) on the growth of the plants, flowers, corms and cormles during the growing seasons of 2019-2020. The experiment was in a factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replication. The treatments were two cultivars (“Yvonne”, “Cassis recassis”) and (K, Fe) nano fertilizer in a level (2 g. L-1) for nano potassium and (0.25 g. L-1) for nano iron. Result showed that these factors, whether each one of them alone or when they overlap, had a significant effect on all traits of freesia and recorded the highest plant height (cm), number of leaves.plant-1, leaves area (cm2), days to first floret opening (day), stalk length (cm), vase life (day), fresh weight of flower stalk and flower (g), corms.plant-1, corms diameter (mm), cormels number.corm-1 and cormels diameter (mm). However, the application of nano-iron fertilizer increased all traits of freesia comparison with control.
