Abstract

Rise in urbanisation from past many decades has resulted in enormous contamination in various ways all round the globe. These contaminants poses a great problem for the living creatures and they must be removed from the environmen. There are methods which can lead to removal of the pollutants from environment but most recent one is phyto remediation. Plants play an important role in removing the primary and secondary pollutants from the indoor environment using different ornamental plants, weedy plants, shrubs, herbs helps to resolve the problems. These plants acts as the detoxifiers, which are fruitful products for the green technology. This review focuses on the dexterity of Euphorbia prostrata in detoxification and remediation of the environment by degrading the VOC’s compounds and absorption of heavy metals.

Keywords: Bioremediation, phytoremediation, pollution absorber, Euphorbia prostrata, heavy metal absorption.
