Abstract

An efficient micropropagation and in vitro flowering protocol was developed for an important and rare medicinal plant Hydrolea zeylanica. Multiple shoots regeneration from nodal explants was achieved on MS medium containing different concentration of BAP and Kinetin in combination with NAA. In vitro flowering was also observed after 8 days of shoot bud regeneration. Regenerated shoots rooted on MS medium fortified with different concentrations of IBA.
