Abstract
In vitro regeneration was developed from shoot tip explants of Pedalium murex. MS medium supplemented with different concentration of BAP (2 mg/l - 8mg/l) and IAA (2 mg/l) respectively were tested for their efficiency multiple shoots induction. The highest rate of multiple shoots induction was observed on BAP (4 mg/l) and in combination with IAA (2 mg/l). The well developed shoots were subjected to subculture for rooting on MS medium fortified with different concentration of IBA (1mg/l- 4 mg/l). However in this experiment 3mg/l of IBA induced more roots. After 20 days rooted plantlets were transfer to the acclimatization process. The highest plant survival percentage (73%) after two month acclimatization period.
