Abstract

Tomato (Lycopesicon esculentum cv. Pusa Ruby) leaf explants were cultured on MS medium supplemented with different concentrations of BAP/Kn along with 0.5/1.0 mg/l IAA. High percentage of response was observed at 1.0 mg/l IAA + 5.0 mg/L BAP. More number of multiple shoots was also found at the same concentration of IAA + BAP. BAP showed superiority over Kn in inducing more number of shoots formation. The regenerated microshoots were rooted on MS +1.0 mg/l IAA Plants are also established.
