Abstract

Explant standardization has been made for rapid and highly effective micropropagation of Vanilla planifolia Andrews. The nodal buds have been identified to be the best explant with maximum bud response (80%) establishment in a short duration (30.4 days). The combination of auxin and cytokinin along with the ethylene absorbent silver nitrate observed to the best medium for vanilla micropropagation.
