Abstract

Forty Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) accessions obtained from Nigeria were characterized using 12 random oligonucleotide primers by RAPD analysis. The Jaccards similarity coefficient estimated from 139 RAPD markers obtained using 12 random primers. Cluster analysis using UPGMA method differentiated forty accessions into 3 clusters at 80% similarity level. Principal component analysis showed similar cluster pattern. Five accessions showed divergence.
