Abstract
Ferroelectric Materials although have their origin in 1920 but since than these are expanding and developing. These materials find their application in every branch of Science. Researchers are working hard on their newer applications. Some latest applications include Energy storage devices, wearable electronics, Field effect transistors, Infrared detectors, Memristors, Photodetection, Neuromodulation and Electro-optic applications. Energy storage devices designed using ferroelectric polymer nano-composite can possess energy density of 11.3 Jcm-3. FET designed using Zr doped HfO2 resulted in wearable memory device with memory window of 2.78 V, current on/off ratio of 108. Free standing PZT membranes supported by water soluble material resulted in wearable PENG device with superior mechanical stability. In future, devices with the desired properties can be designed using techniques such as 3D printing, which possess superior properties than there bulkcounterparts.
