Abstract
This paper presents steady fully developed free convective flow of reactive viscous fluid in a vertical channel under sensitized, Arrhenius and bimolecular kinetics neglecting consumption of the material. Due to nonlinearity of the governing equations, approximate solutions for the momentum and energy equations have been obtained by perturbation method. Effect of various parameters embedded in the problem on temperature, velocity, skin friction and rate of heat transfer are presented graphically and discussed quantititatively. The result indicates that both temperature and velocity increases with increase in Frank-Kamenetskii parameter λ and decreases with increase in activation energy parameter ɛ in all the three cases presented.
