Abstract

In this paper, a parking habit with punishment transmission model is formulated as a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations to study the impact of punishment on an individual who are exposed and habituated towards wrong parking. Here, the basic reproduction number;  is calculated at an equilibrium state which decides the habit of an individual in the parking system. If, then we get a system in which the individuals are following the right parking rules, whereas in the case of , this doesn’t happen. Numerical simulation and its interpretation are presented which shows that the penalty plays an important role in forcing for the right parking rules by an individual.

Keywords: System of non-linear ordinary differential equations, parking habits, punishment, basic reproduction number, local stability, global stability
